While we were in our initial lockdown, the earth had a chance to breathe. It felt like there was some balance restored in nature. It proved to us that there is a difference to be made by caring for our planet.

SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS GREEN CLEANING?

Green cleaning is the process of choosing cleaning products that are better for both people and the planet. There are many products out there calling themselves “eco-friendly” or “natural”. So, how can you tell if a product is actually a “green” product? Green products will have one of these third party certifications:

Green Seal – The Green Seal certification has been in use since 1989. It includes an evaluation of the entire life cycle of the product and meets the independent, international standards.
Safer Choice – the EPA’s own certification that ensures products contain only the safest possible ingredients.
Ecologo – a certification issued by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) a company with over 100 years experience in developing safety standards.
