What Does A GBAC Technician Do?

When looking for a professional cleaner, it is important to understand what their different certifications and training can offer.  At Wright Professional Cleaning Inc., we believe it is important to be able to go deeper than just regular cleaning.  Infections diseases and biohazards in the workplace can be dangerous.  Knowing how to prevent and recover from these problems are key strategies that a good professional cleaning company will factor into their services.

This brings us to the GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) certification.  Our GBAC Technician has been trained to help our clients prepare for, respond to and recover from biohazards in the workplace and knows the contamination control measures for infectious disease outbreak situations.  They bring increased value to their customers because they demonstrate the competence to carry out their responsibilities and they have a commitment to the standards of excellence and continuous learning.

GBAC Certified Technicians have been educated in the following areas:

  • Importance of proper cleaning and disinfection for health

  •   The GBAC protocol for response and remediation

  •   Proper use of PPE (Personal protective equipment) and tools

  •   The preventative, response, infection control and contamination control measures to know or potential infectious disease

With everything we have faced in our world and our workplace environments in the last year, it is easy to see why hiring a cleaning company that understands the importance of and has the knowledge facilitate proper cleaning and disinfecting is so critical.

With the onset of COVID-19, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) encouraged all businesses to re-evaluate their in-office policies to contain the spread of the virus.  They had several suggestions for changes that could be made to regular cleaning practices that would help control exposure to their employees. In the next blog I will be discussing some of those suggestions.

When looking to hire a professional cleaning company it is important to look at the big picture.  How much have they invested in the performance of their services. Are they always looking to improve their knowledge?  Are they willing to go that extra mile to ensure that they keep their customers’ businesses as clean and healthy as possible?  Is cleaning their passion?  Don’t be afraid to ask these questions when searching for the right company.  Anyone who is serious about what they do will be happy to share their experiences, certifications and be eager to provide you with references.

Having a GBAC Technician on board is something that is necessary to our company in order to be able to offer our clients the best care possible.  It is one of the many things in our repertoire that allows us to call ourselves experts in our field. We will continue to strive for excellence and stay updated on current industry information.  Our customers deserve it.

If you would like more information on our certifications and cleaning procedures, we would be happy to sit down and discuss them with you.  Together we can create a unique plan to ensure that you and your employees are surrounded by the cleanest and healthiest workplace possible.
