The holidays may look a lot different for many of us this year. Life during a pandemic does have its challenges. But we at Wright Cleaning Services Inc. know that the pandemic won’t last forever. One day soon we will be able to get together with all of our friends and family. In the meantime, we wanted to share some Holiday Cheer with you.
As we go out in the world each day to keep workplaces safe and healthy, we remember how important our health is. We remember the little things that mean so much. We are grateful for everything we have right now. Children are still laughing and playing and dancing and catching snowflakes on their tongues. Festive lights sparkle on houses and bring beautiful colour to our neighbourhoods. Holiday baking is still being done and more than ever, people are turning to local businesses for their holiday shopping.
We thought it might be fun to share a recipe with you for the holidays; something sweet to make you feel good.
NO-BAKE CHOCOLATE COCONUT COOKIES
Prep:30 mins Additional:30 mins Total:1 hr Servings:24 Yield:2 dozen cookies
Ingredients
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
2 cups white sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup milk
½ cup margarine
Directions
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Step 2
Mix oats and coconut in a large bowl until thoroughly combined.
Step 3
Stir sugar, cocoa powder, milk and margarine together in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture is smooth. Bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over the oats and coconut and quickly mix to coat. Drop by tablespoon onto prepared baking sheet; let cookies cool and harden. Store in an airtight container.
